Find recipes from the web, right inside the app
When your library doesn't have what you're looking for, a grid of real recipes from across the web shows up automatically. Tap to save into your library.
Search any dish name or pick ingredients you have — you'll get real recipes from across the web, ready to save with one tap. Each save lands in your library like any imported recipe, with the original photo and source.
Where it shows up
- Recipes tab when you first open the app — a curated grid of popular recipes to seed your library, refreshed daily.
- Recipes tab with an Ingredients filter — type or scan ingredients you have. If your saved library doesn't fully cover them, web recipes appear below your library cards.
- Search — tap the magnifier and type a dish name. If your library doesn't have it yet, web results show up.
Once your library has 8 or more matches for what you searched, the web grid steps aside.
Saving a recipe
- Tap any card to open a preview — image, title, source, a snippet of ingredients or instructions.
- Hit Save to library. The card flips to a checkmark.
- The recipe lands in your library shortly after, with the original photo and a link back to the source.
- Keep browsing while it imports. Save as many cards as you want — each one queues on its own.
What you'll see
Real published recipes from food blogs, magazines, and recipe sites — Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Serious Eats, NYT Cooking, Half Baked Harvest, Simply Recipes, and thousands of independent food bloggers. Recipes humans wrote and tested.
Round-up and listicle pages ("30+ Easy Dinner Recipes") are filtered out — you'll only see cards that are individual, importable recipes.
